MultiSweet Plus® – a plus for innovative and natural sweetening systems
According to current information from the World Health Organisation (WHO), over a billion people in the world today are overweight – a sixth of the world's entire population. At least 300 million of these people suffer from obesity.
In light of this, calorie-conscious diets are becoming ever more important for many consumers, and demand for reduced-calorie products continues to rise. Many consumers prefer their beverages and dairy products to have a balanced, sweet flavour, but want to control their calorie intake at the same time.
Under the umbrella brand MultiSweet plus®, the DöhlerGroup offers tailor-made sweetener formulations, in order to fulfil consumer expectations of good flavour and reduced calories at the same time. It is a question of the ideal combination of non-calorific sweeteners, natural sweeteners and de-colourised or de-acidified fruit juice concentrates.
Of particular importance are flavour solutions, such as the "Sweet Flavour Technology" developed by Döhler, which solves sensory problems and significantly increases consumer acceptance.
MultiSweet® 2.0
MultiSweet® 2.0 is the latest generation of sweetener from Döhler. Its flavour is more similar to sugar than that of any other product due to the new "sweet flavour technology". MultiSweet® 2.0 covers our individual sweetener formulations for reduced -calorie, light enjoyment. Its natural flavour module delivers full bodied sweetening. Sensory tests have confirmed its remarkable resemblance in taste profile to sugar. All in all, this makes MultiSweet® 2.0 an ideal sweetener for reduced-calorie and calorie-free beverages.

MultiSweet® TEC
MultiSweet® TEC is a sweetening suspension based on aspartame, which has many benefits for production and guarantees precise dosage. It provides the beverage and dairy industry with a consistent level of product quality. The MultiSweet® TEC suspension is made up of both dissolved and undissolved aspartame that is distributed in the form of fine crystals that dissolve within seconds while a beverage is being prepared. Thanks to the "sweet flavour technology", these products have the same exceptional sensory attributes as MultiSweet® 2.0.

MultiSweet® Stevia
MultiSweet® Stevia is a natural sweetener made from the stevia plant. Stevia rebaudiana is a plant with leaves containing steviol glycosides which have up to 300 times the sweetness impact of sugar. Because of this, stevia is a new natural high intensity sweetener (HIS). Stevia has already been approved for use in the USA, Russia, Switzerland, France and many other countries. EU approval is expected in 2010. “Sweet flavour technology” significantly enhances the sensory attributes of stevia too. Depending on the product, MultiSweet® Stevia can be used on its own or in combination with sugar or fruit juice concentrates.

MultiSweet®  Fruit
MultiSweet Fruit® allows the claim "no added sugar". As per Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on nutrition and health claims made on foods, fruit based sweeteners are classified as an equivalent to classic sugar. It will soon no longer be possible to claim a product is "without added sugar" on its label and in advertisements if it includes traditional fruit sweeteners.
MultiSweet Fruit® is made of decolourised or de-acidified fruit juice concentrates for natural product applications. Decolourised fruit juice concentrates are offered for application in the beverage industry. Meanwhile, the company has developed a de-acidified fruit juice concentrate for dairy products, which ideally suits the requirements of the dairy industry due to its acid content. Both of these products will in future also be allowed to be declared as apple juice concentrates and bear the “without added sugar” claim on product labels. Depending on the product, the fruit juice concentrate can be counted as part of the finished product’s fruit content.
