Cloudifiers

Cloudifiers are emulsions designed to add various degrees of cloudiness to the finished beverage as desired. Some cloudifiers carry a strong citrus taste, whilst others impart no taste at all.

Question: Why is cloudiness desirable?

Answer: Because there is a proven consumer preference for cloudy beverages in many product areas. Cloudy beverages can be found in both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage markets.

Juice-containing beverages, naturally cloudy, are particularly popular. However, they are relatively expensive to produce due to the use of juice concentrate.
