Analytical sensory evaluation – Objective measurement of product characteristics

The creation of objective, quantitative and purely descriptive profiles enables us to characterise and differentiate products on a sensory level.

Apart from the use of other methodologies Döhler mainly adopts the principles of QDA (Quantitative Descriptive Analysis). This long established and proven methodology exclusively uses pre-screened and trained panelists who measure and quantify the perceived sensations using specific rating scales. The results are summarised within spider web charts (see below).

Multiple replications of each sensory session and appropriate statistical analyses together with continuous panel performance tracking ensures maximal data quality and validity of the profiling procedure.
