Detection of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria in water

E. coli and other coliform bacteria are organisms commonly used to indicate the quality of water or hygiene in food production.

LMC is a ready-to-use, lactose-peptone broth that has been concentrated multiple times and is used to detect E.coli and coliform bacteria in all types of water, such as potable and rinse waters. This single test is unique, as sampling takes place directly in the original LMC bottle, thereby also diluting the broth to the required concentration. A positive result is also shown by indicator changing colour from purple to yellow.
