Siebel Institute laboratory media for the detection and enumeration of wild yeast populations in brewing culture yeast

LWYM - Lin‘s Wild Yeast Mediumis an agar prepared using LWYM powder and the corresponding crystal violet solution for the batch. While the growth of culture yeast is suppressed by the crystal violet, the growth of Saccharomyces wild yeast is primarily encouraged.
LCSM - Lin‘s Cupric Sulfateis an agar prepared using LCSM powder and the corresponding cupric sulfate solution for the batch. It suppresses the growth of culture yeast and primarily encourages the growth of non-Saccharomyces wild yeast.
