Casein Soy Bean Digest Agar (pH 7.3 ± 0.2) is a ready-to-use agar for general use in isolating and cultivating of sophisticated and non-sophisticated microorganisms as well as the cultivation of reference strains for testing the efficiency of culture media.

CASO Agar (also known as Caseine-Soymeal-Peptone Agar) complies with the requirements of ISO 11133 for the microbiological investigation of food, animal feed and water in which CASO Agar is described as the main reference medium for conducting quantitative testing of specific culture media. 

CASO Agar is suited for the quantitative detection of the total bacterial count:

• In the food & beverage industry

• From hygienic monitoring samples

• As reference medium
